COACHING - New Business Enterprise

"I need help to improve my focus and drive and develop my new business venture."

This client had not long set up their own business and was finding the transition from working for a large company to being a small business owner a lot tougher than first anticipated.

She found she was falling behind with projects and paperwork which was having a negative impact on both her business and confidence.

She found it difficult adjusting to wearing so many ‘different hats’, and was becoming overwhelmed with the whole process. She admitted to loosing her drive and confidence as she had planned on achieving much better results than she was getting by this time.

By coaching we increased our clients focus and taught her techniques to apply a much needed structure to her days allowing her to maximise her time. We established job descriptions within her new responsibilities and with this in place she was more comfortable playing so many roles and delegated were appropriate.

With the new structure and a reviewed business plan in place she is motivated to set goals and has been achieving them.

With each achievement her confidence and focus grew along with the ability to plan and control her business thus overall improving productivity and the success of her business.

NLP - Fear of Public Speaking

“I’ve been promoted and need to get over my fear of doing presentations.”

This client had recently been promoted and was now required as part of his new role to present ideas to potential clients of a regular basis. The thought of doing so was making him extremely anxious. So much so he had begun suffering badly with palpitations and excessive sweating. His first presentation was looming and a friend had suggested he contact Changes and tries NLP.

By talking with my client I was able to get to the root of his main concerns, fear of being judged and forgetting his material, and worked through them. We then used techniques to enable the client to capture ‘resourceful states’ and anchor them to a particular action (in this case squeezing thumb and index finger together) to be accessed when required i.e. in future presentations. The client was then ‘future paced’ through the impending presentation to double check resources and anchors. All were set in placed and ready to be activated when needed.

Needless to say the presentation went off with out a hitch and now the client actually enjoys the process of presenting and selling new ideas to clients.

The client also informed me he now uses his ‘anchors’ in many different situations in both his work and personal life.
